On Saturday I spent the afternoon with Nekesha and Antonio. It was a lot of fun meeting them and getting to know them.

These newlyweds are expecting a baby girl the end of May. I am excited for their birth session as they are a fun couple!  Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Hanging out on the couch in their living room

Antonio was such fun...  I think that this was the reaction when I asked if he was ready for baby's arrival :)

Isn't she gorgeous?  I believe Antonio is one lucky man!

such a sloppy kiss, but really fun!

I hope you enjoy the preview and the slideshow below!

Welcome Baby

Jennifer & Russ welcomed a baby girl last night after almost 18 hours!  She was born at home in the water attended by Debi & Nichole.  When I left very early this morning, mom, dad and baby had settled in and she was sleeping in mom's arms.  I have a lot of pictures to go through but I wanted to introduce you to her...

Carly Rose
April 24, 2008
8 pounds 4 ounces
22 inches long

Here are a few more pictures to hold you over till her birth story slideshow in a few days....

Just after arriving, cuddling up to mom still in the pool

She made sure we knew she was breathing and needed us to pay attention to her

Her first feeding (of course, I HAD to stay for this!)

and lastly.... my favorite... baby toes!

Guys, I hope this preview holds you over for a few.  Jennifer & Russ, I'll see you in a few days to finish up the story session.  I hope Ben & Elly were thrilled meeting their new sister when they woke up this morning!

See you soon!

Saturday we had the honour of photographing the wedding for Bonnie and Kevin. Last summer I had the priviledge of capturing Kevin's proposal to Bonnie, and we have been waiting and waiting for their wedding day to finally arrive!

We did their engagement session back in February after a handful of reschedules due to bad weather. I just realized we had not posted pictures from their session, you can see pictures from their session in this slideshow of their sign-in book.

The wedding day forecast was rain early with clearing skies later in the day. We started the day early, catching up with Bonnie and the girls getting ready for the late morning ceremony.

Bonnie under the dryer getting a start on her updo. (It even went with the colors of the day... PINK)

Getting all made up while Bonnie's sister gets her hair done.

The finishing touch...

Bonnie, her father and the girls arrived at North Star Church in a vintage limo.  (It was fun photographing a wedding at the church we have recently started attending)

A quiet moment during the pictures before the wedding

Bonnie 'helps' her dad get ready for the pictures at the church.

Bonnie and her mom share a moment, they look so much alike here.

Here is one of our favorite 'poses' for the formal bridal portraits.  (the awkardness of the pose paid off in a gorgeous image)

Kevin and his mom, Angela, getting ready at the church.

Since the ground was soggy after the rain, we had some fun keeping Angela's high heels out of the mud for pictures before the ceremony!

Since Kevin and Bonnie did not see each other before the ceremony, the guys were 'hidden' in the stairwell on the other side of the church.  Little did we know that the door was locked...  preventing run away grooms?

North Star's pastor, Mike Linch performed the ceremony for Bonnie and Kevin and added many words of wisdom for them

Including reminding Kevin that after Bonnie said "I DO" he had to respond the same, eliciting this response...

During the lighting of the unity candle Carol Shreve sang 'The Canvas' a beautiful song she wrote, that as Mike Linch said, gave us a beautiful lesson.

After the ceremony were more pictures before letting the bridal party head to the reception. They were good sports about it too!

Before heading out to the reception, we took Bonnie & Kevin off for a private portrait session and let them reflect on their first moments as Husband and Wife. Of course we had to get some shots with the Rolls Royce Limo.

Upon arriving at the reception at Henry's Uptown in Acworth, we had to get a picture in front of the Coca-Cola sign (a favorite of Bonnie's)

They had personalized M&Ms so why not photograph their rings in them!

After a wonderful buffet and some dancing it was time for dessert! The beautiful creation was made by Publix and tasted as wonderful as it looked!

Kevin & his mom dancing to 'Simple Man' by Lynard Skynard

Bonnie & her dad danced the Father-Daughter Dance to 'My Little Girl' by Tim McGraw. (there were some teary eyes here)

Yanci, the flower girl was such a cutie, she got in the act taking a picture of Cat taking a picture of her.

Kevin preparing to get the garter to toss...

Kevin's parents watching the last dance...

After an exit through bubbles, Bonnie rounds the corner and finds out what their friends have done to her car....

We had such fun with Kevin & Bonnie, our friends Ron & Angela, Bonnie's parents, family & friends.   There were so many great images that we put a few of them into this preview slideshow...

Now that the wedding is over and the kids have left for their honeymoon...  I believe that Dad's pockets are pretty empty!!

Bonnie & Kevin, we hope you enjoyed this preview.  We are so excited to finish the rest of the images and begin working on your album!  Look for the wedding gallery to be up in a week or so.

PS - lets schedule the "we did" session soon, it will be lots of fun and Bonnie can get some more fun pics in that beautiful dress...
